Inc(hereinafter referred to as “we”) believes that the protection of personal information of those who have entered into a distribution contract with StartLive (hereinafter referred to as “live-streamers”) is the basis of the our business activities and a social responsibility. We understand the importance of handling personal information of live-streamers and in order to ensure the thorough protection of such information, we shall comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter referred to as the “Personal Information Protection Act”). We have established the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as the “The Privacy Policy”) regarding our handling of personal information in all the services we provide and related websites, software, and other services, including not only services we provide, but also related services provided by other companies, (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “The service”), and shall endeavor to protect personal information appropriately.

We handle the personal information of live-streamers only within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use of personal information as described in the preceding article. 1. When it is necessary for the protection of the life, body, or property of an individual and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the live-streamer
2. When it is especially necessary to improve public health or to promote the sound growth of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the live-streamer
3. When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, a local government, or an individual or entity entrusted by either a national agency or local government to execute affairs prescribed by law, and obtaining the consent of the live streamer is likely to impede the execution of those affairs.

 

Provision of information to third parties

We will not provide or disclose personal information of a live-streamer to a third party without obtaining the prior consent of the live-streamer. However, this does not apply in the following cases;

 

1. When disclosure is requested by law
2. When it is necessary for the protection of a person’s life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the live-distributor.
3. When disclosure is especially necessary to improve public health or promote the sound growth of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the live streamer
4. When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, a local government, or an individual or entity entrusted by either a national agency or local government to execute affairs prescribed by law, and obtaining the consent of the live sender is likely to impede the execution of those affairs.
5. When the we or third parties need to make payment, deliver products or provide services, respond to inquiries from the live streamer, or provide related after-sales services, etc., to financial institutions, credit card companies, settlement agents, collection agencies, or other businesses that make payments or act on behalf of such businesses, delivery companies, or business operators.
6. When we outsource all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use
7. When disclosing personal information to a person who is obligated to maintain confidentiality to the Company
8. When personal information is provided as a result of the succession of business due to a merger or other reasons
9. When we deem it necessary to provide information in order to resolve a dispute with a third party or to protect the rights and interests of a live streamer or a third party
10. When the information is provided to a third party to whom we outsource such research and analysis in order to research and analyze the usage of our or a third party’s products or services.
